Two boys have been charged over a lengthy pursuit through Perth’s northern suburbs which came to an end when the getaway car was stopped at a police station. The teens, aged 14 and 17, are accused of stealing two cars — a green Suzuki and a red Peugeot — from a Balcatta home sometime between 9pm on Saturday and 8.45am on Sunday.
Perth pursuit ends with driver pulling into police station carpark. The Suzuki was spotted on Gnangara Rd in Lexia about 8pm on Sunday, but it is alleged the driver failed to stop when police activated their emergency lights and sirens. Police pursued the Suzuki, which they said was being “driven in a reckless manner”, for an hour.
