Two Aussie cricketers who tried to rush home from the IPL amid India's COVID-19 disaster got their timing horribly wrong.

Aussie cricketers Adam Zampa and Kane Richardson are reportedly stuck in India after exiting the Indian Premier League bubble but failing to beat the Australian government's travel ban.

A Cricket Australia spokesperson told Cricbuzz that CA had enquired about the possibility of a travel exemption for Zampa and Richardson. Failing that, CA will aim to ensure that the players are in a secure environment in India. "We will continue to liaise closely with the Australian Government following today's announcement that direct flights from India to Australia will be paused until May 15, and monitor the situation between now and the tournament's scheduled conclusion on May 30.

Why should cricket Australia organise a charter flight. The IPL has nothing to do with Cricket Australia. These guys went to India chasing the big bucks knowing full well what it was like there. Now expect others to foot the Bill for them to come home.
