Trump unloads on Apple for refusing to unlock phones of 'killers'

United States President Donald Trump has lashed out at Apple for what he says is a refusal to unlock iPhones used by criminals while at the same time benefiting from government help on trade.

The encryption used on Apple's iMessages or WhatsApp's chats is what is called end-to-end encryption, where only the sender and the receiver have the necessary decryption keys to read the messages, rather than the platform holders having access.

So, basically, for being unable to defy the laws of physics (which is required to create a backdoor in an encryption scheme, and keep it completely secure).

He's also a 'killer' so yeah, unlock his first...

Apple have refused for one very simple reason. They can't. By design it can't be decrypted.

Apple is abetting with the enemies of America. Prosecute the Apple board for Sedition.

They can’t just unlock phones .. if they did, they’d just have to unlock Trump’s phone too ...hhhmmm

All Apple phone can now be unlocked by Israeli company Cellbrite. And I have no doubt Law Enforcement and Government are already doing such things.

With access to all the smartest people in the NSA, CIA and FBI, has no one explained to the child in chief how encryption works.

I get privacy laws. But in my opinion when you break the law you loose all rights. The only argument would be that Innocent people's info might be on his phone as well.
