US President Donald Trump has hit back at claims from his former lawyer that he is a racist, a conman, and a cheat, calling Michael Cohen’s testimony ‘pretty shameful’.
Speaking after his summit with Kim Jong Un in Hanoi, the President called Mr Cohen’s testimony to the House of Representatives’ oversight committee a ‘fake hearing’, and said it was ‘a terrible thing’ that it was held during the US-North Korea summit. Mr Trump said Mr Cohen ‘lied a lot’ but said he was ‘impressed’ by the fact his ex-attorney said he saw no evidence of collusion with Russia to subvert the 2016 presidential election.
