Three-time Tigers premiership star Jack Riewoldt is calling time on his football career. The 34-year-old key forward will join close mate and former captain Trent Cotchin in retirement. AFL 9News MORE:

He is also a three-time Coleman Medal winner.

"I am ready for the next chapter, and I think the club is ready to regenerate and find a new path forward," Riewoldt said."I never thought my journey would get this far or that I would be a part of anything like what I have been. But I am so thankful for everyone who has played a part." Riewoldt's retirement news comes only a week after fellow Tigers legend Trent Cotchin announced his plans to retire.

Both Riewoldt and Cotchin will farewell the Melbourne fans on Saturday afternoon at the MCG against the Kangaroos. Richmond's final game of the season is in Adelaide the following week.
