He had reportedly been spending an increasing amount of time in the country in recent years, and had just last week helped raise money for a local orphanage. The premiership-winning centre played 246 games across a first grade career which spanned from 1990 to 2005. He was also well known for his stints on Channel Nine's The Footy Show and his appearances in commercials for Lowes menswear.
"As well as being one of the game's great centres he was also one of its most popular characters, a giant personality who was universally loved by the players he played alongside over his long career in the top grade," he said."On behalf of the Commission, I extend our deepest sympathies and condolences to Terry's family, and all those who knew him."
