Former Australian swimmer Kenneth To has died at the age of 26

Australian world silver medal-winning swimmer Kenneth To has died after falling ill in a locker room during training in Florida.His death has prompted an outpouring of tributes from fellow swimmers“We’ve been racing each other and making teams together since we were 16,” he posted on Instagram.

“He will remain one of the fiercest competitors I’ve ever stood on the blocks next to. I firmly believe that for a long period he was pound for pound the best swimmer in the world.”“Your love and passion for swimming will always be in our hearts. Thank you for everything you’ve given to swimming,” he wrote.In 2010, at the Youth Olympics in Singapore, To won six medals.A year later, he was part of the Australian Commonwealth Games team.

We are heartbroken to to announce that one of our best swimmers, Kenneth To, has passed away at age 26. Our love and deepest sympathy are with Kenneth’s family and friends at this extremely difficult time. We will miss you Kenny.
