The mother of Xiao Li, 22, who is on life support in hospital has been blocked from entering Australia due to coronavirus | michaelfowler08

, is losing hope of being able to see her only son before doctors in Melbourne turn off his life support.

Federal Health Minister Greg Hunt warned the ban would almost certainly be extended beyond February 15, and Jeff, a close friend of Mr Li , who is known as "Link" in Australia, says "we have no solutions to help her now"."Link's mother is a labourer in China, she had no money to apply for a visa or get flight tickets.

"[Mr Li] is in a critical condition on life support in the intensive care unit. It is therefore important that his family are present at his bedside during this difficult time," it read. "They asked her, 'would you like to donate Link's organs to 10 people?'. His mother said 'yes, if it can help more people, I can accept it'. It was a nice gesture," Jeff explained.

michaelfowler08 I understand quarantine and rules. Is there a solution? So so sad. Put yourselves in her shoes. The line about no insurance and having to turn off life support - whilst a reality, just compounds the sadness. Heartbreaking.

michaelfowler08 What Australian government do now is kinda breaking humanity. plz use brain to rule this event!

michaelfowler08 Lost for words.

michaelfowler08 Really sad

michaelfowler08 Very sad.

michaelfowler08 Heart breaking , Morrison is such an evil man .

michaelfowler08 Let her in! This is just proper compassion and humanity. While I understand and support the Australian Government's stand on the coronavirus you must make exceptions in circumstances like this! Let her in!!!!!!!

michaelfowler08 Terrible as this news is a quarantine is a quarantine!

michaelfowler08 What part of ‘quarantine’ don’t you understand?

michaelfowler08 So wrong. We were letting people into Australia, when in my ' public health ' brain, we shouldn't have been. Denying this mother now is cruel. Seems this is becoming the norm.

michaelfowler08 This is really sad...wat the mother would be going through with only child & without husband..☹️
