The NZWarriors are interested in bringing Chad Townsend back to the club on a short-term deal. Details 👉

NRL.com understands the New Zealand club are interested in acquiring the 30-year-old – who played 41 matches for the Warriors from 2014-15 – for the remainder of 2021.

The Warriors are skinny on playmaking depth after season-ending injuries to Chanel Harris-Tavita and Paul Turner . Townsend, who will join the Cowboys on a three-year deal in 2022, was dropped to the second-tier Knock-On Effect NSW Cup after round 11.
