A man accused of murdering pregnant teenager Tiffany Taylor was planning to leave the state, a Queensland court hears.

"What we learnt from those messages is they read of her desperation for money to pay for rent and her preparedness to sell her body to complete strangers to support herself."

The court heard Ms Taylor was"no shrinking violet" when it came to demanding money from men who refused to pay, and that she had threatened several men in the past. The defence argued there was no opportunity for Mr Williams to dispose of the body and said Ms Taylor's older boyfriend may have been violent.

On August 11, police phoned Mr Williams and arranged an interview with him on August 14 to discuss Ms Taylor's disappearance.
