Tiahleigh Palmer's foster father to be forced to reveal her final moments

Almost six years after 12-year-old Tiahleigh Palmer was murdered, her foster father will finally be forced to reveal how he killed the schoolgirl and provide answers to the "people who loved her".The inquest will focus on determining the "actions he took" on the night she diedRick Thorburn murdered his foster daughter in October 2015, several months after she was placed into his family's care.

Rick Thorburn is escorted by police from a police station in Brisbane in September 2016 after Tiahleigh Palmer's death. At the time, the Supreme Court heard he had murdered Tiahleigh after he discovered one of his son's had sex with her and they feared she was pregnant.During a pre-inquest hearing in Brisbane on Tuesday, counsel assisting the coroner Kate McMahon told the court Thorburn had "concocted a story" about what had happened to her.

Ms McMahon told the court that after Thorburn killed her, he told his family she was "no longer with us" and "he had taken care of it and not to ask questions".The court heard the inquest will focus on determining the "actions he took" on the night she died, and exactly what happened to her.

This girl was let down by the entire Qld child protection bureaucratic behemoth of a system that was & is still intrinsically deeply flawed. My heart breaks at her final moments & what her adopted family did 2 her. She just wanted 2 be loved nd 2 b safe. Was that 2 hard 2 ask 4?

Isn't it about time more killers and abusers were forced to own up and tell whole story
