Heavy rainfall has started to fall over Melbourne as wild weather continues across Victoria for a third day.
A severe thunderstorm warning was issued by the Bureau of Meteorology warning of specific severe thunderstorms approaching the western parts of Greater Melbourne. The bureau warned that the weather systems, which are likely to bring heavy winds and cause heavy rainfall that could lead to flash flooding, would affect areas such as Lara, Werribee and Bacchus Marsh by 3pm.
A severe thunderstorm warning for a cluster of storms in the state's South West and Central districts remains in place, with areas such as Melbourne, Geelong, Ballarat, Frankston, Bacchus Marsh and Rosebud likely to be affected.More to come.
