Former Manus Island detainee speaks out against proposed lifetime ban on entering AustraliaAn Iranian refugee who now lives in Canada after spending nearly five years on Manus Island has spoken out against legislation that would ban him from ever visiting Australia. Hope he gets his pronouns correct. There is something inherently perverse in such legislation. It is not a crime to be a refugee. The created' us vs them' attitudes may be politically expedient for an underperforming government but it does nothing to build a better future for Australia. Asher_Wolf It's pretty messed up to say the least don't you think?
