When Cara’s mate, Monty, The Magnificent, was alive, he reserved my left armpit, and Cara my right. They kept me snug like a bug in a rug. Each would wake me at different times during the night with their dreams. Their little paws would go ten to the dozen chasing imaginary friends and foes – they’d bark in their sleep, snuffle, wuffle and burp.
There’s one solution and it’s not rocket science. As a kid when the temperature dipped, we’d call it a three-dog night. That was the night you needed three dogs to snuggle into.
