Three arrested after pursuit through Sydney's west. 9News

Three men have been arrested after being pursued by police through Sydney's western suburbs this morning.

Officers first noticed the black Toyota Camry travelling on Northern Road in Jordan Springs around 9am this morning.The car, believed to have been stolen, failed to stop when directed by police sparking a high-speed chase to Cambridge Park.READ MORE:All three were arrested with one of the men taken to Nepean Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

Operation Ironside a ‘dramatic blow’ to Australian crime | Sky News AustraliaAFP Commander Erica Merrin says Operation Ironside has delivered a “dramatic blow” to the criminal environment in Australia but the pursuit of organised crime needs to be “relentless”.\n\n“We’ve been very pleased with the outcomes of Operation Ironside, but our work doesn’t stop here,” she told Sky News.\n\n“We’ll be at this for years.”\n\nThe AFP said Operation Ironside resulted in the arrest of 224 offenders on 526 charges in every mainland Australian state.\n\n“More than 4,000 members from the AFP and state and territory police have been involved in the execution of hundreds of warrants since 7 June, 2021, under Operation Ironside, which covertly began three years ago,” an AFP media release said. \n\nMs Merrin said “operational security” was “paramount” to success.\n\n“This was a protracted investigation involving the FBI, other international partners,” she said.\n\n“The FBI were as long-running as five years, the AFP three years.\n\n“In some cases, we weren’t briefing in our own people until just before we were about to go through the doors.\n\n“Operational security was paramount throughout the course of this investigation, and our members are trained for this, they understand the need-to-know principle.” Won't even change the street price of coke.
