"About, I understand, 40 per cent of those who are coming through New South Wales are going on to other states and territories," Mr Morrison said. The other states and territories have agreed to help with bringing in charter flights, but Mr Morrison said the current focus was on Sydney, Brisbane and Perth due to those being the current commercial flight destinations.

"Since the pandemic started back in March, in its most significant form, we have assisted some, I think it's 27,000 Australians, to get back over that period of time," Mr Morrison said. "With the improvements and with the success that we've had as a country in recent months, we can start opening that up again and we can start helping Australians get home again."Mr Morrison said that currently, 15 per cent of people passing through quarantine had arrived in Australia from New Zealand.

Hotel quarantine verdict is in as international arrival caps liftPremiers and territory leaders will learn how their hotel quarantine systems are faring as the Commonwealth bids to lift international arrival caps. We don’t need this linear sledgehammer one way approach to arrivals of 14 days quarantine. It’s a joke. Why don’t the media question and look at the many ways countries are managing arrivals. Incompetent hysterical politics in action just like border closures
