The over representation of Aboriginal people in jails is due to being convicted of criminal activity. That decision lies with the magistrate or judge. Majority of deaths in custody, black or white, is a result of pre-existing medical conditions.
The only racial bias in deaths in prison custody is that the rate of deaths is lower for indigenous prisoners. How this false narrative keeps getting people to march in the middle of a pandemic is beyond me...
