A patient dies after being ramped outside the Flinders Medical Centre, the third person to lose their life in such a way at an Adelaide hospital this year.

Another patient has died after being ramped outside Adelaide's Flinders Medical Centre for more than an hour.A male patient suffering from abdominal pains has died after being ramped outside of Flinders Medical CentreThe Government said it was focusing on opening more beds to combat the problemIn a Facebook post the Ambulance Employees Association said the patient was ramped for two hours on Friday."How many more unnecessary deaths will it take? Urgent action must be taken.

Opposition health spokesman Chris Picton said the male patient had abdominal pains and no pulse while still outside the hospital."It shows what a disaster we are seeing in terms of ramping across our system." "We have already acted in terms of capacity in the south. There are 50 beds in the Repat [Repatriation General Hospital] that wouldn't otherwise have been there. There are 12 short stay beds that we have added to Noarlunga.

AmandaEverall2 ABSOLUTELY DISGRACEFUL!! and sooo Liberal Government!! ONE TERM GOVERNMENT!!

This is only gonna get worse, after decades of irresponsible living, obesity, heart, and mental health are increasing. We have the resources and ability to live healthy rewarding lives, but the capitalistic consumer driven world is addicting us to wanting more of everything.

Let’s just privatise the health system even more that way anyone who can’t afford it won’t call ambulances and thus reduce ramping. The US model is our aim so we get more stories like this 👏👏 jobs & growth will eventually fix it all🤔

This seems to be a national disgrace.

After spending nearly$2 billion on the new RAH only a few years ago, we need some politicians involved in this crime to be prosecuted and locked up. Disgusting in this day and age this occurs in our society.

this country has now achieved '3rd world country status'..congrats!

Meanwhile they are sending public patients to private hospitals & using SAAS to transfer them back to public after surgery. Because the ambulance service are merely a taxi service for this government.

Should have injected palm oil into his snag they would have seen to him stat.

We are becoming a third world country, this should never happen in Australia.

Adelaide🙄

FlogWarrior Australia services & way of life exponentially descending to the level of a 3rd World shit hole...

My wife is currently working on solutions to solve this ED utilisation problem in QLD so that those most in need can get timely treatment. It is a very complex problem with a web of different causes & not many easy solutions. I hope she gets the support she needs to make changes.

with the burgeoning southern suburbs spreading now all the way down to bursting townships like Normanville and Yankalilla, there is an urgent need for a major southern hospital. Morrison there financing roads. DOOF!

NOT GOOD ENOUGH. This isn't fair on patients or staff who are doing their best. When will the government take action? This is 2019 in a developed nation, this should not be happening. Shame on the Labour party for allowing such an expensive & inadequate project in the first place

Wtf is ramping?

Spend an hour on a Saturday night at the Lyle McEwen and, amongst the hundred or more waiting, you'll def see someone in the process of dying in agony on the floor while triage concentrate on the guy covered in blood from his latest bar fight.

So sad, but when you build a new hospital with fewer beds than the old Adelaide hospital i suppose this could happen 😪, sometimes one really wonders why, when we have an ageing population?.

Does ramping/ramped mean 'kept in the ambulance outside of the hospital' or something else? I am not familiar with the term.
