Sundance award-winner Time is a stunning triple-threat: a love story, an act of magical thinking, and an indictment of one of today's most far-reaching and insidious institutions.

Tracing one woman's tireless 21-year campaign to free her incarcerated husband, Time — the Sundance prize-winning documentary from ascendant, LA-based director Garrett Bradley — is a stunning triple-threat: an epic love story, an act of magical thinking, and an indictment of one of today's most far-reaching and insidious institutions, prisons.

Time was initially conceived as a "sister film" to Bradley's Oscar-shortlisted, New York Times Op-Doc Bradley says the MiniDV tapes chronicle Fox's revolution from "young woman into a fierce, patient and wily fighter". Before our eyes, the unborn twins — Freedom and Justus, two of their six sons — grow to be unique young adults.Meanwhile Fox transforms, from a vulnerable but determined young woman into a committed abolitionist and breathtaking public speaker.

The mood of resilient optimism is buoyed by the freewheeling flights of jazz piano on the soundtrack: the 60s recordings of Emahoy Tsegue-Maryam Guebrou — an Ethiopian nun who was imprisoned as a POW in the 30s.And sure as hell, this world must be changed.
