Police were called to a Wendy's restaurant drive-thru after Rayshard Brooks fell asleep in his car blocking other vehicles. When police conducted a breathalyzer test, Mr Brooks failed.

The 27-year-old was filmed grabbing one of the arresting police officer’s tasers before attempting to shoot him with it before he was shot twice with a lethal weapon. The officer involved, Garrett Rolfe, has since been charged with felony murder among other charges, which could carry the death penalty if convicted. “Obviously they will be hoping they can get a prosecution, and hoping it will calm down the people in the streets," Mr Stewart said.
