Coronavirus forced Joe Biden into his basement and kept Donald Trump confined to the White House for months. As the pandemic sweeps across America, here's how the 2020 candidates are shaping up in the digital battle to be America's next president.

Gorana Grgic is a lecturer in US Politics and Foreign Policy at the United States Studies Centre at the University of Sydney.

"This is something that works in Joe Biden's favour. Being stuck in the basement and at the same time letting President Trump dig that hole himself." Eric Wilson, who led the digital team for Marco Rubio's 2016 presidential run, said if hiding was Biden's strategy, it was certainly a risky one. "Back then, you drove a message. Today you surf waves. That's the big difference and affects the style of play," he said.

SO UGLY

Biden is a DUMMY, HE HAS NO IDEA WHERE HE IS, HE'S A BLOW UP TOY, WHAT DAY IS IT, IS THE ELECTION OVER, OH I HAVE ALZIMIERS, I FORGOT

Biden looks like he's in a NURSING HOME, HE PROBABLY DOESN' KNOW. , ALZIMIERS DOES THAT. HE LOOKS LIKE A SCARED RAT

Trump cannot defeat Joe Biden until Joe Biden defeats Joe Biden.

Only one area?

😂😂😂 the scoops have their finger on the pulse today 🙄🙄

One area? I’d say Trump leads Biden in ALL areas.

Giving Trump enough rope...

FakeNews ... It's in every area.

You would hope he just has to be sane and sensible while trump rages with his insanity, but you never know with voters

Is it in the area of who doesn't inappropriately touch children?

Trump has the idiot demographic locked down, and that's probably the biggest demographic in the US population. Biden has a tough fight on his hands to appeal to idiots as much as Trump does.

Wtf abc . cheerleaders for Trump.

I guess that’s why Twitter and all media need to try even harder to rig the election.. then blame the Russians

Trump actually motivates and energizes his base. Biden is the most uninspiring candidate the Dems could have picked.

If Trump doesn't have a flawless campaign then he will lose. The economy won't recover by November and the stockmarket won't mean squat to COVID19 job loss victims (they don't have stock).

Not having dementia.

Insanity rating?

Trump was at the WH helping the American people, Biden was in his basement hiding and scared
