There is a health crisis in Victoria

No attachments, please include your letter in the body of the email.Before the Premier Jacinta Allan and her team decide to make cuts to the health care system I suggest they spend a day in a public hospital. I recommend the Northern. I recently spent 11 hours in Emergency with my mother waiting for a CT scan for her ruptured appendix. This was despite having been referred to the Northern from Seymour Hospital.

At 1am on Monday when my sister and I left the Northern, there was still a line for triage and a full waiting room in Emergency. How these health care providers cope is beyond me. And yet Allan wants to cut funding further.Each time the state government is questioned over the obscene amount of money being thrown at its Big Build program, the questions are dismissed as irrelevant on the basis that the government has a ″⁣mandate″⁣ from the electorate to deliver on the program.

If every politician just has to always vote for the party line then there is no point in having real people in parliament. We could just have party robots.
