His remarks come after the ABS released August’s unemployment figures, which came in at 6.8 per cent, smashing economist expectations.
“There was a story out of WA on Monday saying basically 75 per cent of businesses on JobKeeper will come off after September because their businesses are actually doing pretty well,” Mr Switzer told Sky News. “So I think between now and Christmas there is going to be an adjustment process. “So maybe a calm before a little bit of rain, rather than a storm.”
