Sky News host Amanda Stoker says there’s been progress in providing better maternal healthcare for Queensland’s rural and regional women and their families.

“Queensland Labor’s Health Minister announced on Friday $42 million over four years for rural birthing and birthing on country models,” Ms Stoker said.

Ms Stoker said it’s a win because it’s an “admission that there is a problem” but revealed the “fine print” in the Queensland government’s funding announcement.

Higgins tape shows the left’s ‘hypocrisy’ in its treatment of women: CredlinAs the Higgins tape shows, it's not the political right that specialises in hypocrisy – it’s the left and their treatment of conservative women which is believed to be 'something that's okay', says Sky News host Peta Credlin. Ms Credlin said during a five-hour conversation about 'weaponising the Higgins rape claim' against the Morrison government, Brittany Higgins, Lisa Wilkinson and others mocked the former government about its alleged failures to pre-select women. “Then Wilkinson proceeds to mispronounce Price's name, deliberately perhaps, it seems, and then the group of them, they go onto banging on about the Coalition and black people more generally,” Ms Credlin said. Ms Credlin said instead of 'showing off their moral superiority', they in fact demonstrated 'just how selective their care of others really is'.

Men’s Health Week raising awareness for Men’s mental healthMen's Health Week begins next week, raising awareness and encouraging men to understand the importance of prioritising their mental and physical health. An average of seven men die by suicide daily, with three times as many men as women taking their own lives. “There’s a sense of...awkwardness, I think still, around men and reaching out and getting support,” said The Banyans Healthcare Chief Psychologist Peter Hayton. “There’s this kind of sense of ‘I’ve got to be strong in myself, and be the alpha or be in charge, or be less emotional. “Those kinds of issues really prevent men from reaching out and getting support, not just in our mental health … but also our physical health too.” If you or anyone you know is feeling distressed, you can call Lifeline on 13-11-14

Politicians and media used Higgins rape allegations for a ‘political hit job’From the start of the “ugly” Brittany Higgins saga, it was apparent that allegations of rape were being used by politicians, the media and activists for a “political hit job”, says Sky News host Rita Panahi. “In recent days, we’re finding out just how deliberate and coordinated those efforts were, and senior members of the Albanese government, including the Prime Minister, have serious questions to answer about what they knew, when, and their role in playing politics with a serious criminal allegation,” Ms Panahi said.
