In the first episode of The Twilight Zone, aired 60 years ago, an amnesiac wandered around a seemingly abandoned town.

Jordan Peele takes on the role made famous by Rod SerlingPeele serves as executive producer as well as appearing on screen and in voiceover in the same role Serling once held, intoning to the audience that they’re about the enter the middle ground between shadow and light.

Channel 10 is betting the hype and nostalgia will drive people to sign up to its paid streaming platform 10 All Access. It’s sampling the first episode tonight on Channel 10 but the rest, releasing on a weekly basis, will be exclusive to 10 All Access from Friday. One night at the club’s bar, he strikes up a conversation with legendary comic J.C. Wheeler who tells him to tell stories from his life and the audience will eat it up, but that whatever he puts out there will be gone forever.“The Comedian” is a solid concept and Nanjiani is the perfect casting choice, but it drags out too long. Where the 1959 series wrapped things up in a tight half an hour or less, this remake’s episode lengths can stretch a leisurely 60 minutes.

The pair repeatedly comes up against the same prejudiced police officer and it’s a tense parable about the black community in the US and their constant vigilance in dealing with law enforcement. More broadly, it’s relatable for every parent in trying to change things for their children.is promising but not there yet, though if we get more episodes like the emotionally affecting and chilling “Replay” then the whole venture will have been worth your time.
