‘The trauma is horrific’: Stabbed bodyguard recalls haunting Bondi Junction rampage

Hospitalised bodyguard Muhammad Taha has emotionally recalled the traumatic Bondi Junction stabbing rampage and his final moments with deceased colleague Faraz Tahir .

Picture: Sky News Australia While assisting his fatally injured colleague, Mr Taha called the security radio and alerted others about the stabbings, including a friend of his, Fahad, who came and tried to save the pair.The heroic bodyguard said he continued to greatly struggle with trauma from the rampage.“Lots of nightmares. The trauma is horrific even when I try to sleep I have all the things in my mind going on and it’s very painful.

Mr Tahir's life was commemorated at a memorial where Prime Minister Anthony Albanese praised the late bodyguard for"running toward danger to protect people he had never met". "On behalf of the Australian Government and the people of Australia, I offer our deepest sympathies to all of you who knew Faraz Tahir best and who loved him the most.
