About $2 billion dollars from the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) have been used to make dodgy purchases such as drugs, cars and holidays, with the opposition demanding the government fix the 'out of control' scheme.

NDIS Minister Bill Shorten is facing more backlash after it was revealed upwards of $2 billion of the scheme's money has been spent on items such as cars, holidays and hard drugs including heroine and ice.About $2 billion dollars from the National Disability Insurance Scheme have been used to make dodgy purchases such as drugs, cars and holidays, with the opposition demanding the government fix the"out of control" scheme.

“There would be thousands of cases where participants are claiming things that are not consistent with their plan,” Mr Dardo said. Mr Dardo continued to admit hard drugs such as heroin, cocaine and ice were being purchased when asked by Ms Kovacic.Interrogation on the egregious oversights continued during Question Time where NDIS Minister Bill Shorten admitted the scheme “needs to get back on track”, before poking the finger at the Coalition.
