One Australian state has been described as the “safest place in the world” after recording no new virus cases for the past week.

With SA now reporting no new infections for a week, Chief Public Health Officer Nicola Spurrier says the state is in a good place.

“I think many people are surprised in Australia at how well we have done. Really, this is the safest place to be in the world, perhaps other than New Zealand,” she said. So far, South Australia has had 438 confirmed COVID-19 infections but 96 per cent are now considered recovered.

Beware, it only took one person to infect the world. Just saying.

Yeah but who’d want to live there!

NT would be the place to be over SA. They've had no new cases for like 3 weeks.

👏👏

What about the NT?

Splitting hairs, Australia as a whole is very close to irradication, 6/8 states and territories down to none or 1 case.

There’s no place like home. 😊

WHO spray: ‘World should have listened’The director general of the World Health Organisation (WHO) has said “the world should have listened” to the UN agency’s advice in order to avoid the coronavirus pandemic becoming so dire. This is the same WHO that said in January there was no evidence of human to human transmission and advised, at the instigation of the Chinese government, that international travel should not be hindered?! - China’s mistake for not letting the world know earlier - WHO’s mistake for not letting the world know how dangerous this virus can be - Countries which took the advice lightly are all at mistake as well. So instead of blaming each other, just work on a solution.
