QLD press freedom restrictions ‘a real attack on democracy’: GleesonJournalist Peter Greste has described it “troubling” that a Brisbane reporter is set to stand before the Crime and Corruption Commission in their aim to identify his confidential sources. Mr Greste – who was imprisoned in Egypt for more than a year while working as a foreign correspondent – says the CCC is criminalising the idea of protecting the identities of anonymous sources.
