The Queensland Government will introduce a new road rule next month and drivers who fail to follow it will cop a hefty fine.

The new rule, which will be introduced on September 16, is aimed at protecting emergency workers when responding to accidents or breakdowns across the state.

“Our emergency service and first responders do an incredible job, and they play a critical role in roadside incidents,” Mr Bailey said. QLD press freedom restrictions ‘a real attack on democracy’: GleesonJournalist Peter Greste has described it “troubling” that a Brisbane reporter is set to stand before the Crime and Corruption Commission in their aim to identify his confidential sources. Mr Greste – who was imprisoned in Egypt for more than a year while working as a foreign correspondent – says the CCC is criminalising the idea of protecting the identities of anonymous sources. Sky News Queensland Editor Peter Gleeson says the incident is a “real attack on democracy in this country,” with bodies such as the CCC in pursuit of journalists to reveal sources. “It’s not a good look at all,” he said. Queensland was the last Australian jurisdiction to protect journalists from being prosecuted for not revealing their sources during court proceedings, with those media shield laws being passed in May this year. Mr Gleeson said the reporter, referred to as ‘Journalist F’, received a tip-off from a police officer prior to a home raid of a murder suspect. “He argued that he did not have to answer due to a public interest immunity,” he said. Mr Gleeson said the journalist is set to stand before the CCC star chamber again regarding the matter. “This journalist faces up to five years jail if convicted for failing to reveal a confidential police source,” he said. Yet the owner of your rag is seen as unfit to run a company by some! How’s Kylie Lang and her cat story going? I see you’ve revamped that garbage for click bait despite Lang being torn to shreds on media watch Hilarious that MSM 'journalists' fulminate about press freedom. All you clowns have done the last coupla years is pump out propaganda for globalist criminals while covering up their crimes. You're all a total joke. We can see right through this laughable posturing.
