In my opinion, being a woman in Iran is a political act. That’s why some people believe that the movement that has formed in Iran today is the first feminist revolution in the world, which introduced itself with the slogan “Zan, Zendegi, Azadi” .
I’ve always admired those who openly confront the violence of power, and I always wonder if I would be capable of it. I think of myself as timid, but I can’t tolerate anyone who instils fear in me. Citizens should strike fear into their repressive rulers: the opposite enrages me. And rage, in general, makes me forget fear.
In your opinion, how can this historical awareness help the women’s movement in Iran and their emancipation? Is it possible for them to skip the historical mistakes and not fall into the pit again?Education is fundamental. Studying, remembering and self-analysis are indispensable for making a conscious choice about the form we wish to give our life. Put like that, though, it’s too linear. We mustn’t forget that every human being is a tangled knot.

Women’s rights in Islamic countries don’t exist
I never ever felt that any single Iranian woman felt unhappiness by wearing scarf at all in 2005,because I was surprised to see how brilliantly Iranian women enjoyed wearing colourful scarves&mantles. Wearing scarf NOT political matter but protection of own tradition and culture!
Then even after I traveled to Italy where noone is obliged to wear head scarf,still I had kept wearing my head scarf, by the AniesB, as showing my protest to the noscarf”movement”a Nazis cleansing of Islam culture, and echo to all Turkish,Iranian &UEA women enjoying the tradition
I then had kept cheering all the Turkish women who have been apparently happy with wearing head scarves, as saying:”nothing wrong about wearing scarves at all!It’s your right to wear scarf when you feel you want to that’s your culture and tradition no one can invade or strip out”
In 2005,I saw foreign western blondwomen at rail&bus stations in Turkey. They were provocative in forcing Turkish women feeling cozy with wearing head scarves not to wear scarf. Every time I saw them,I said “don’t be intimidated by them it’s ok wearing ur scarf.I wear scarf too.”
What if an Iranian woman came to Italy to be provocative about how Italians were ignorant coz Italians have been feeling obliged to wear cross all the time:”oh pity to see you tamed to wear cross without knowing freedom from wearingcross the point of matter to befree as a human!”
Wearing headscarf in Iran is a matter of tradition only Iranians can commit to.Then forcing foreign activists’ idea as if no-scarf were norm is act of invasion In2005,Iranians were happy wearing scarves:now the time overreaction to the incident should be alleviated by DoJustice
