Premier Daniel Andrews and Opposition Leader Matthew Guy have gone head-to-head for the only live debate of the Victorian election campaign, four days before polls close. VictoriaVotes

One audience member, Martin, asked Guy to explain what he was accusing Labor of, by campaigning on the premier’s integrity, and how that squared with scandals that have also dogged the opposition leader.

Guy boasted that he was in cabinet when the former Coalition government established the Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission , and spruiked his pledge to give the watchdog an extra $20 million in funding and strengthened powers.

Andrews retorted: “Weren’t you just bragging about the fact you set it up, and you were around the cabinet table? Isn’t this your model? ... You can’t have it both ways. There’s got to be some consistency, surely.” Guy twice interjected, “the fight is yours, Daniel”, prompting Andrews to respond: “Try and make sense at least.”

No charges over MP's call for Daniel Andrews to become 'red mist'Police say no charges will be laid, after investigating comments from independent MP Catherine Cumming, who told a Melbourne rally Premier Daniel Andrews should be turned into 'red mist'. So we have no laws for this? Politicians are all free to encourage each other to be assassinated are they? did the police arrest Paul Keating when he called for 'a stake to be driven into Peter Dutton's chest'? same thing... That is appalling, I guess it really does make a difference who is calling for an assassination. White Australian females exempt from prosecution .. ok
