ANALYSIS: The bad habits that politicians always trot out at election time

A splendid example of the genre came up this week as the Government repeatedly refused to document how much taxpayer money was being spent on advertisements ahead of the election, such as ones promoting the Coalition's tax cut proposals."What we will not do, which the Labor Party did, was that we will not run government-paid advertising during the caretaker period, and that is really important for the taxpayer, and we won't repeat Labor's mistake.

It is equally true that both sides of politics frantically make appointments before an election. But that doesn't make it right. That's fine, as long as they actually know what they are doing, and, rather importantly, that the job actually needs to be filled. Themselves and their lies.

One bad habit of the LNP is sending Craig Kelly out to commentate on ABC TV news! Don’t forget ScottMorrisonMP saved this rude Neanderthal, whose bad sexist habit is boisterously talking over the top of women and moderates!

Jacinda Arden ( most outstanding leader of the free world) has a voice of strength, caring, impact and is believable! No Australian political party leader has a voice that matches Ms Ardern. All we hear is whining, complaint, monotone and insincerity. Listen then vote

Lube, legs and lies: lacklustre start to the federal election campaign resorts to personal attacksCoalition tax attacks on Labor prompt bureaucrat backlash as the battle for government takes a turn for personal one day one. Indeed, but a story about 'Lube, Legs, and Lies' with no mention of realDonaldTrump, how is that possible? 😂 Maybe, just maybe if we weren't so hard on pollies we would get better ones. Maybe we should reflect on who we are first and how we create the pollies, I mean all pollies. A lot of people want honesty but we aren't honest ourselves. Journo's should think about this.

Morrison has had one miracle – and now he needs anotherMistaking Murdoch for the mainstream and Alan Jones for the man in the street, the Coalition government narrowcast and forgot to broadcast, writes Peter Hartcher Beautifully expressed from one of Labor’s best! Good old Labor plant in the media and total stooge, Peter Hartcher! Who do you think Rudd leaked to...? One eternal question: Why does the Labor party never concisely defend its record as actual better managers of the economy, on many counts, against the false claims of the LNP? Since the onset of the Rudd Gillard Rudd years, Labor has generally been pathetic at defending itself. You shouldn't mistake the media fake Left and turbo neo con Right Big Australia brigade for remotely representative of 80% of the people who don't want population to increase at all and 49% who want Muslim immigration to stop.
