A teenager has pleaded guilty to charges of affray and intentionally causing injury in a fatal stabbing case in Melbourne. The accused, Ngor Dao, appeared remotely in court and admitted his guilt. He is not accused of causing the victim's death, while his three co-accused will have their cases continue in the Children's Court.

Ngor Dao, 18, pleaded guilty to charges of affray and intentionally causing injury in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.

The young man, from Burnside Heights in Melbourne’s outer northwest, appeared remotely via a video link, speaking only to say “yes I do, Your Honour, guilty” when asked how he wanted to plea.Dao was one of four males charged, and the only one who can be legally identified, after Pasawm, 16, was stabbed and died near Sunshine Station in the city’s west on May 18.
