A year 12 student was sent home in tears after a female teacher said her outfit — featuring a long-sleeved white skivvy — made people feel “uncomfortable”.

Chris Wilson said his 17-year-old daughter Karis went to school “feeling good about herself” in a knee-length black dress worn over a long-sleeved white skivvy.

Mr Wilson’s video on Facebook has been viewed more than 79,000 times and received more than 700 comments, with many people outraged by how Karis was treated. “And the more you think of it, the more you say it, the more you understand that this is absurd. It shouldn’t happen.”Source:SuppliedTweet goes viral after X-rated online shopping fail

Every school has uniform. Students must follow the school's rules and uniform. Any violated couldn't accept. Discipline is over

Looks to me like she is wearing a lace cami over her skivvy. Camis are underwear.

Happens when you don't have school uniforms put in place

read some actual news here and not puff piece garbage

It’s Canada who cares

Who the hell cares! Get over it

That is why we have uniforms. I do nt agree with how that teacher handled the situation. I’m looking at the student, sorry but she is dressed for a big night out

Wow. Wouldn’t want to have been my daughters teacher...👿☠️

Zzzza¢¢***,

Love homegrown Canadian news !

🤣🤣 our junior year shirts were see through. I used to wear skivvys. Turns out my teenager nipples were too shocking. So the school let me wear the senior uniform in junior years and continued to allow wet shirt lunch time. Ahh life. Pedos & stupid rules.

Interesting that a slip style dress and T-shirt’s or skivvys were appropriate when I was a teenager in the 90’s!!! That outfit was on every second girl then!

Ffs it’s not Australian news.

It's a bit inappropriate for school.

Suck it up princess! Nothing wrong with the girls outfit!

Rules are annoying

Sure the long sleeved skivvy was the distinguishing item of clothing in question not the loungerie 🙄

If your education is so important then dress appropriately.

This is why uniforms are so important....the article is completely biased. The dress that goes over is a lace petticoat. The teacher had a point.

The thought police are at it again. Just do what we tell you, you're under control. Covid has allowed these idiots more power than they have had before and now they are living the dream. Telling us what to do, when, and how. Madness or 1984?

Teacher felt “uncomfortable “ is another way of saying this teacher was the one who couldn’t remain professional and have inappropriate thoughts.

Teacher needs to teach what she's the fashion police as well.this girl felt good and thats all that counts her self worth.
