A 13-year-old boy has been seriously burned after the trail bike he was riding was involved in a crash with a car around 3pm today.
Emergency services were called to Camden Valley Way following reports of a collision between a motorbike and a small hatchback.The boy was treated by paramedics on the side of the road while a rescue helicopter was dispatched to transfer him to The Children's Hospital at Westmead. The trail bike, which was being ridden by the teen, caught alight following the crash causing him to suffer burns to his face, arms and legs.He also suffered a broken femur and suspected internal injuries.
Camden Valley Way is closed in both directions at Narellan Road due to the crash, and traffic on Narellan Road is also affected. Detours are in place and drivers are being advised to allow extra travel time.
Silly bugger. Hope he pulls through.
