A teenager has been hospitalised after he was bashed and stomped on the head in a disturbing attack in Melbourne's west yesterday afternoon.
A group of youths approached the 15-year-old near Caroline Springs Boulevard in Caroline Springs about 5.35pm, with one of the boys using a metal object to hit the teen on the head, before stealing his phone.Vision obtained by 9News, some of which is too confronting to publish, shows the teen being violently punched and then his head is stomped on.The Burnside Heights teen remains in hospital after suffering lacerations to his head.
A 16-year-old Caroline Springs teen was arrested and interviewed by police, but then released pending further enquiries.
