Okay. I'm confused about something. I have heard many times of people who have years of tax returns they haven't put in. Not business owners, or complicated matters, just straight out PAYE taxpayers. How do they get away with it? I've always been curious.

Usually you would not get a fine if you have a refundable amount. Also if you are with a registered tax agent(don't use H & R Block seriously) you have until 15th May next year to lodge.

It’s time to have another conversation about tax reform - or the goose is cookedTaxes are the price of a civilised society and our tax system is struggling to properly raise the revenue. But there is a way forward. Transaction Tax...tax a tiny piece of every dollar transacted...we now have the technology. Only tax needed. No more Google/FB cheating. if our government didnt bloody waste/misuse our money, it wouldnt be such a problem? job keeper for companies that profited with no way to get it back billions wasted on broken contracts and money to business mates. are you fkn kidding me? Perhaps a discussion of how vested interests defeat tax reform might have helped eg. the mining industry and the proposed mineral resources rent tax proposed by Henry
