'I was showcased around like a zoo animal, when I wasn't going anywhere.' Martin Taupau opens up on his recent contract rumours 👇 ✏️ via MadgetheBadge NRL

Forgotten in Manly's rush to re-sign the Trboejvic brothers is the fact dual international Martin Taupau is also off contract at the end of next season. While not a high priority on the 29-year-old's to-do-list with the finals around the corner, Taupau doesn't want a media circus around his contract situation like last year.

Taupau addressed the rumours several times last year saying no-one had approached him from either inside or outside of Manly. He said he wanted to stay on the northern beaches and he hasn't changed his tune in 12 months. "There is a huge desire to stay here at Manly," he added when quizzed by reporters about his current deal expiring in 2020 – the same year as Jake and Tom Trbojevic.

'I'm not having hundreds of fucking Vietnamese Balts coming into this country with their religious and political hatreds against us!'' It's a rather awkward situation for both sides. Whilst we Australians prefer democracy for Hong Kong, we also value autonomy of China (and other nations) to govern themselves, so quite a reluctance to tell others what to do. Facebook considering hiding likes following Instagram post changeFacebook users might soon say goodbye to “like” counts on the platform, in a bid to dissuade users from envy and self-censorship. Oh no! How will we know if a person says something we should react to. How will we be able to express our indifference. We can only hope they hide them to concentrate on security, or protection of personal data. If they do, How will I be able to react. Will an emoticon suffice? Swampbook is fast becoming a worn out old ‘has been’ in social media. Hopefully it goes away, soon.
