Sydney Uni wants Ramsay Centre to revise Western civilisation plan | jordsbaker

They include music in Western culture, the birth of modern science, and exploring neoclassical logic in the school of philosophy. Dr Spence said the university had not had a formal response to the proposed memorandum of understanding it sent to the centre last year, which set out the conditions under which it would accept Ramsay money.

Politics Professor John Keane, who opposed a Ramsay-funded course, said the university should release its letter to the centre so academics could see what it proposed.
