Greater Sydney will revert back to more severe restrictions - including a maximum of 10 people at a home and no more than 20 dancing at weddings, until Wednesday December 23, in an attempt to curb the outbreak on the Northern Beaches.

“Until Wednesday midnight we ask anybody in greater Sydney, including the Central Coast and Blue Mountains, not to have more than 10 people come to your home at any one time,” Premier Gladys Berejiklian said. “We are also going to put in a health order from tonight which says that for all hospitality venues, for all indoor venues and places of worship, for all settings that went from the four square metre rule to the two square metre rule, we are reverting back to four square metre rule.

This is so that if there is a seeding event, if there is someone who has the virus at any of these events, health does not have to scramble for hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of people. “In addition to those settings we are also going back to no dancing apart from 20 at a wedding party for greater Sydney, Blue Mountains and the Central Coast. Going back to no singing and no chanting except for places of worship allowed up to five in those settings.

Will Peta Credlin demand that Gladys resign due to her incompetence in allowing the virus to spread

Just curious, no judgement how much information can they really have by the 23rd? Don’t know much about the Sydney set up but that is only 3 days to get it under control.

AngusGthompson These three so-called 30 min cities are pure fantasy of an administration which tries to sell this misleading concept to the public to accept an 8 million Sydney. Just look at these GSC graphs. A 30 min walk is maybe 2.5 km. A 30 min train trip is 25 km. Nothing adds up here. AngusGthompson The recent handling of intl boarders didn't give any confidence to International students.
