The Thunder win by 58 runs in their clash with the Strikers, but Sydney's wet weather wreaks havoc in the other three WBBL matches.

A dominant partnership between Heather Knight and Rachael Haynes helped Sydney Thunder score a thumping 58-run WBBL victory over the Adelaide Strikers. The Scorchers posted a rain-affected 18-run win over the Renegades at Drummoyne Oval

England international Knight slugged 11 fours and three sixes on her way to a 39-ball 83 in a sparkling knock to help lift the Thunder to 6-190 at Sydney Showground. The 122-run partnership off 10.1 overs between Knight and Haynes proved to be the difference, with the pair taking the Thunder's score from 3-64 in the ninth over to 186 with eight balls remaining in their innings.

Courtney Webb and Sophie Molineux made starts but the Renegades' total always looked well short against a powerful Scorchers batting line-up.With no further play possible, the Scorchers were awarded the win under the Duckworth-Lewis method.

Queensland border will re-open to regional NSW, but remain closed to Sydney and VictoriaQueensland will reopen to all of regional NSW from Tuesday but Sydneysiders and Victoria will remain on the COVID-19 border blacklist. Cautious moves by the States that are free of Covid. MarkMcGownan about to make some announcements too I believe. Right now only NSW and Victoria are on the 'Watch list'. NSW should be wearing masks when out. Queensland WA NT SA ACT and TAS no need, at present. I don’t understand why we’re worried about Queensland border to open for NSW. If they don’t want us to go there and spend our money. We can spend in our state or somewhere else. I think we should boycott the Queensland for year and start sporting our beautiful state NSW.

What gives Gladys the inept the right to question other state leaders? Does she think she's running the country? No transparent scientific reason for this haphazard call. AnnaP hates Gladys so vindictive behaviour is the next guess. Arrogance and politics plays a major part in AnnaPs decision making, however is always disguised as caring.
