Sydney Swans celebrate equality and diversity | Sky News Australia

The Sydney Swans Football Club are committed to embracing equality across all aspects of the business from recruitment to fan experience. Sydney Swans Manager for Fan Growth Arna Hunt said she wanted people to know “they are safe and welcome at the football”.

“Our participation in the Mardi Gras, our symbolism in wearing rainbow on our guernsey on the weekend during the March series game… were all part of being genuine in our attempts to make sure that our community knows that we are there for them,” Ms Hunt said. Ms Hunt said the Sydney Swans were the first club to have a float in the Mardi Gas in 2018 and are considered to be “leaders in celebrating diversity”.
