BREAKING: Camden High School in Sydney’s west will be closed on Friday after a Year 7 student tested positive for coronavirus

Camden High School will be shut to both students and staff as it undergoes cleaning and carries out contact tracing, the NSW Department of Education said in a statement.

Laguna Street Public School in southern Sydney was also shut down after a teacher tested positive earlier this month. NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian said with Victoria’s recent surge in mind, it was crucial for her government to strike the right balance between easing restrictions and preventing community transmission.
