There was some sympathy for the rail workers’ cause when the industrial dispute began, but this is quickly evaporating. With a state election months away, the union now seems intent on damaging the Coalition, regardless of the merits of its claims. The rail union wants the deed signed by the government before completing negotiations over a new pay deal. The government has demanded both the train fleet modifications and a new enterprise agreement be completed together.
The rail system is hopelessly over staffed , 2 crew on each train is just not best practice and it’s bleeding tax dollars that could be better spent elsewhere. The govt needs to hold strong and sort this once and for all. Short term pain….

Perrotet needs to go next election. We have too many people on industrial action and not enough deals being made. Stop lowballing and trying to punish people with tougher laws. Make a fair deal!
