Sydney’s New Year’s Eve fireworks will go ahead as a short, seven minute display, but watching from the foreshore will be off limits.

Immediate foreshore areas were going to be sectioned off on New Year's Eve exclusively for frontline workers to thank them for their service, however NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian announced on Monday that would no longer be the case.

“On New Year’s Eve we don’t want any crowds on the forehorse whatsoever,” Ms Berejikilan said. The premier revealed only owners of waterfront properties or their visitors were allowed to access the immediate waterfront areas. She clarified anyone entering the area would need a special permit from Services New South Wales.

Made for a brief stint in TV, locally a bit pointless but long enough for a sound bite or two on global TV.

Well why not just replay last years display?. This world is bonkers.

Fucking joke it’s a waste of money

It’s such a smart virus - highly virulent in parks, gym, churches, schools, gym & beaches but NO effect on supermarket/big Corp workers ONLY small biz owners About controlling whole of life Anything fun? Targeted People’s liberties? Targeted Curfews with NO medical rationale

No easing of restrictions in Greater Sydney ahead of NYE | Sky News AustraliaNew South Wales Premier Gladys Berejiklian has announced no changes will be made to restrictions within Greater Sydney ahead of New Year’s celebrations. \n\nHouseholds will still only be allowed to accept up to 10 visitors – including children. \n\nAllocated spots for frontline workers along Sydney Harbour – to watch the New Year’s Eve fireworks display – have also been cancelled as health authorities deemed the event too great a health risk. \n\nPeople will be allowed to keep their bookings in hospitality venues in Sydney’s CBD – on the proviso the four square metre rule is in place, and a permit is issued from Service NSW. \n\n“Those restrictions that apply for broader Sydney apply for the CBD obviously on New Year’s Eve as well, so unless you have a permit to go to someone’s home of not more than 10 people, or you have a permit from Service NSW to attend a hospitality venue, no one should be in the CBD at all,' Ms Berejiklian said. \n\n“All of us, no matter where we are in NSW, or Australia, or the world for that matter can enjoy the seven minute display from home, and that is the safest way this year to enjoy the fireworks.' \n\nNSW recorded five new cases of community transmission overnight – all on the Northern Beaches and all linked to the Avalon cluster. \n\n\n Reduced size of gatherings in parks DOWN from 100 to 50? *pheew* .. luckily the people have the power to overturn that. If you still obey, you're part of the problem. CELEBRATE TO THE MAX !! Because, gosh darn it, getting COVID from a stranger at a superspreader event is about the friends we make along the way.

Businesses and bars in Sydney CBD brace for significant hit amid NYE restrictions | Sky News AustraliaSydney Business Chamber’s Executive Director Katherine O’Regan says she is pleased the fireworks will go ahead on New Year’s Eve and hopes it will keep people motivated for a good business year in 2021. \n\nHer comment comes after New South Wales Premier Gladys Berejiklian announced on Monday no changes would be made to restrictions within Greater Sydney ahead of New Year’s celebrations. \n\nHouseholds would still only be allowed to accept up to 10 visitors – including children. \n\nAllocated spots for frontline workers along Sydney Harbour – to watch the New Year’s Eve fireworks display – were also cancelled as health authorities deemed the event too great a health risk. \n\nPeople are allowed to keep their bookings in hospitality venues in Sydney’s CBD – on the proviso the four square metre rule is in place and a permit is issued from Services NSW. \n\n“The last twelve months haven particularly tough for businesses in the CBD but I am pleased the fireworks, although shortened, will go ahead,” Ms O'Regan said. \n\n“It is a good symbol to the world and hopefully that can really keep people motivated for a good business year in 2021.”\n\nMs O’Regan said the foot traffic in the CBD had reduced to 20 per cent of normal in April and was currently even further reduced. \n\nShe added, businesses were hoping the current level of restrictions were “short and fast” so they could return to normal soon. \n\nRestaurant and bars in Sydney CBD are bracing for a significant hit as the restrictions will limit the customer levels and foot traffic on New Year’s Eve, usually one of their busiest nights.\n Gosh, if there's anything that'll keep on-call casuals with no penalty rates and uncertainty as to whether there'll be enough work for them to pay the rent each week motivated, it's the memory of New Year's fireworks. No they will not. It takes a lot more than seven minutes of Sydney fireworks to get motivated. Why should they be motivated by something they are excluded from experiencing. The only ones that will receive any motivational experience will be Gladys & business cronies.

Sydney's NYE celebrations on tenterhooks | Sky News AustraliaNew Years Eve celebrations are on tenterhooks in New South Wales amid the threat of a COVID-19 spread.\n\nPremier Gladys Berejiklian said fireworks would take place at midnight on New Year’s Eve, but urged people to watch the show from home. \n\nMany of the foreshore areas have been classified as ticketed areas and will only be open to residents, restaurant workers and emergency service workers. \n\nAreas surrounding those immediate foreshores will be classified as yellow zones and will be monitored by police.\n\nOn Sunday, New South Wales recorded seven new locally acquired cases of COVID-19 taking the Avalon cluster to 122.\n If only there was a way people could watch these celebrations from the comfort of their own home ... What’s the bet the barricades are to close the parks altogether. Sorry but NYE’s will be cancelled. With GladysB telling all to go get tested and again and again, what does that tell you? Gladys too is a NWO globalist puppet.

NSW shadow health minister touts NYE restrictions as 'fairly reasonable' | Sky News AustraliaNew South Wales Shadow Health Minister Ryan Park says the premier's decision not to cancel the New Year’s Eve fireworks was “fairly reasonable” because this year particularly, residents “need a little bit of joy”. \n\n“What the premier has announced is fairly reasonable,” he said. \n\n“The message - certainly that I’ve got and I’ve been telling our community - is have your New Year’s Eve celebrations essentially at home and have it very small numbers.\n\n“We don’t have a vaccine at the moment, people are not vaccinated and therefore there’s no immunity.\n\n “If we do the right thing, if we’re able to keep those measures up we’ll be able to keep the economy open, we can keep people employed, we can keep businesses open and that’s absolutely critical for me and what I’m focused on.”\n\nHe added it was important the fireworks were not cancelled because they would bring joy to people on the back of a difficult year.\n\n“I think New Years Eve, and this one more than any, we need a little joy; we need a little bit of happiness,” he said. \n RyanPark_Keira I hope the ones who get COVID as a result are content with the warm and fuzzy memories of the fireworks. RyanPark_Keira Spread the disease, that's joyous. RyanPark_Keira Ridiculous. Money should be put into businesses that have suffered

NYE celebrations 'too risky' for NSW's uncertain health situation | Sky News AustraliaWhile there remains some “mopping up” for New South Wales Health in relation to the Northern Beaches cluster, low case numbers indicate the outbreak may have been intercepted in time, says Deakin University Chair of Epidemiology Catherine Bennett. \n\nShe told Sky News the severe New Year’s Eve restrictions – announced by Premier Gladys Berejiklian on Monday – were necessary as allowing celebrations to proceed as normal posed too great a health risk. \n\n“It’s much better to be safe and not bring hundreds of thousands of people into the city, crushing on transport … I think it’s just something too risky this year,” she said. \n\n“There may still be some of these missed cases out there that are still waiting to be found and we just hope that happens before it triggers too many new cases.” \n\nMs Bennett also pointed to the high rate of testing in NSW - and particularly on the Northern Beaches – as being crucial in eventually being able to move towards normality. \n\n“They’re the eyes for NSW Health,” she said. \n\n\n See? Lockdowns aren't the only solution to deal with a COVID outbreak. NSW have proven top quality contact tracing without citywide lockdown also does the job Yeh right wouldn't be due to false bloody positives would it, That would take away the FEAR and Hysteria making to easy to explain , Lets just stick with the LIES that PCR is testing accurately, 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤪🤪🤪😬😬😬FOOLS.
