A staff member at a Western Sydney public school has tested positive for COVID-19, forcing the school to close.
NSW Health is conducting contact tracing to determine who the staff member came in close contact with. However many venues, including Sydney's oldest pub, The Fortune of War, were still working to determine whether they would set the tables again. Fire and Rescue NSW worked for more than two hours to put out the blaze at the Smeaton Grange business.Investigators will wait until the site is declared safe before examining the scene.Eminent lawyer Bret Walker SC has labelled the current funding arrangements for the Independent Commission Against Corruption "unlawful" because the State Government has the power to withhold money for its investigations.

Very few large restaurants and/or pubs will be able to make a profit with 10 people inside the restaurant. Some venues would need more than 10 staff just to open their doors. Impossible to break even with groups of 10 only.
