Well done Sydney and Melbourne!

San Francisco must have escaped their notice

thanks to the Liberal Party and the Northshore elite - voted in by the western suburbs of Sydney

The high price really boggles the mind when Australian cities lack so much culture, art, freedom, nightlife, internet speed, good food and public transport...

They all have something else in common too.

Thanks to all conservative lunatics nobody can afford the live. There, fixed it for you.

But nearly the highest wages ! Its all relative

Stop importing people!

You keep telling us week in week out how great it is that house prices keep going up. Now we live in the most expensive cities. Fuck you guys are geniuses.

If only we built more tollways, unfiltered stacks, expressways, parking stations , parking spots , concreted over more green space, tunnels , etc this cost of living would never have happened. Right Glady ....more people & more cars is a vision thing!

There's the facts. Population growth in Melbourne & Sydney sky rocketing housing prices. Simple economics when Demand out strips Supply the price rises. Quality of life declines.

Where is he? Scomo what have you done now? Parade at kirrabilli Tuesday, weather permitting. I'll be coming as the grim reaper. Bring your kids it will be a lovely day

Wow I wonder what all these cities have in common?

I disagree, Shanghai and Vancouver are cheaper than Sydney in my experience.

It’s amazing how expensive these cities are, given how deficient they are in every way compared to truly global cities.

not surprised

Not surprising

This is a much better framing than 'most well off cities in the world'. Much better to be honest and say you need excess wealth to survive here.

That's not a bad thing
