Sydney man charged over alleged assault of police at Bronte pub

Police are reminding the community 'violence will not be tolerated' after a man allegedly assaulted three off-duty officers at a Bronte premises the day after lockdown restrictions eased.

The man was asked, by the manager, to leave the pub on Bronte Road due to his behaviour at about 7.30pm on Tuesday.

Additional officers from Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command attended to assist and the man was taken to Waverley Police Station where he was charged with six offences including:Stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm ,Assault officer in execution of duty, andEastern Suburbs Police Area Command Crime Manager Detective Inspector Gretchin Atkins is reminding the community"violence will not be tolerated".

"Police will be ready to assist venues and entertainment precincts. Violence will not be tolerated and if anyone causes a disruption or fails to comply with venue rules and regulations they will be dealt with appropriately.
