A COVID-19 outbreak could 'overwhelm us very quickly' | Sky News AustraliaThe Herald Sun’s James Campbell says the outbreak of COVID-19, otherwise known as coronavirus, is “going to overwhelm us very quickly if what is happening overseas is replicated here”.\n\nThe number of confirmed cases of the virus has passed 100,000 world-wide with more than 3,500 dead.\n\nNorthern Italy is in lockdown, with the European nation recorded the highest amount of cases outside China, while many major sporting events have been cancelled due to the virus.\n\nMr Campbell told Sky News it was unbelievable the Grand Prix was going to be held in Melbourne next week given the highly contagious nature of the disease.\n\n“The longer we allow public events to take place, on large scale, the greater the chance that there is going to be a large outbreak,” he said. \n\n“People need to get their head around the fact nobody has an immunity to this disease”.\n\nHe said “at this point we need to be putting things in place that are going to prevent out health system getting overwhelmed”.\n\n“A stimulus package is essentially a conventional weapon when demand drops, but you cannot stimulate an economy which is essentially in quarantine”. \n\nImage: Getty\n Please correct it's 'COVID-19 MADE IN CHINA' virus. True, retarded country can't even put out a fire, no power or resources to replicate any thing China did. It’s the WuFlu.

Melbourne doctor diganoised with COVID-19 hits back | Sky News AustraliaA Melbourne doctor diagnosed with COVID-19 is demanding an apology from the Victorian health minister over what he claims were “unfair” and “inaccurate” comments. \n\nMinister Jenny Mikakos said she was “flabbergasted' the doctor returned to work following a trip to the US. \n\nDoctor Chris Higgins – who is also the father of Australian singer Missy Higgins – had treated at least 70 patients before diagnosis. \n\nIn a Facebook comment, Mr Higgins said: “As the doctor concerned, I have been upset about the inaccuracies and unfairness of your comments.'\n\n“I had a mild cold when I returned from the USA last Saturday morning - which had almost resolved itself by Monday morning\n\n“I (tested) anyway for completeness, not imagining for one moment it would turn out to be positive. I believe you have taken a cheap opportunity for political grandstanding.”\n Piss off. The apology to Victoria should be coming from the doctor. One word describes his actions “irresponsible”. No excuses can warrant his actions. These are different times.
