COVID patient begs community to 'take it seriously'

Speaking in Arabic with an oxygen tube fitted, 47-year-old father of four Khalid Elmasri said he has "learnt his lesson the hard way" when it comes to the dangers of COVID-19.

Mr Elmasri was rushed to St George Hospital five days ago, according to his doctor Jamal Rifi who shared the video as a public health announcement on his YouTube channel. In the video Mr Elmasri describes his struggles with the disease, only recently being able to breathe and talk without pain."I'm begging everyone to take coronavirus seriously and follow the medical advice.Mr Elmasri is part of 864 confirmed COVID-19 cases since the Bondi cluster was first identified in June.

Opposed to major illness that we don't seem give two hoots about. Why not report on this, as it directly effects those with covid and the surely the severity

If only the fucking government took anything as seriously as Covid....like maybe the economy and small business...
